Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Remembr mobile app,
backend APIs, and website at rmbr.day (including challenge links,
install pages, and auth callback pages) (collectively, the "Services"). By using the
Services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old (or older if local law requires) to use the Services.
- You represent that you can form a binding agreement and comply with applicable laws.
- If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent authority to bind that organization.
2. Accounts and access
- You are responsible for account credentials and activity under your account.
- Authentication may be provided through third-party identity providers (such as email magic links or Google sign-in).
- We may suspend or limit access to protect security, enforce these Terms, or investigate misuse.
3. Service features
The Services currently include features such as:
- Photo-based memory quizzes and scoring.
- Journal entries, tags, and quiz statistics.
- Challenge creation, sharing, and challenge-result flows.
- Push notifications for reminders/challenges.
- Public challenge pages, install redirects, and app deep-link routing.
Features may change over time, be experimental, or vary by platform/build environment.
4. Your content and permissions
- You retain ownership of content you provide (for example profile details, journal text, quiz answers, and challenge media), subject to the rights you grant below.
- You grant Remembr a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce, and display your content as needed to provide, secure, and improve the Services (including challenge sharing and thumbnail rendering). Remembr accesses your device's photo library solely to provide quiz features. We do not moderate or filter personal photo content beyond automated quality screening, and photos from your camera roll may appear within the app during normal use."
- You represent that you have rights/permissions needed for content you upload or share, and that your content does not violate law or third-party rights.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Access the Services unlawfully or attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.
- Reverse engineer, interfere with, disrupt, or overload service infrastructure.
- Use bots/scrapers to abuse challenge, API, install, or public web endpoints.
- Upload malicious code, abusive content, or content that infringes rights or privacy of others.
- Use the Services for harassment, fraud, or other harmful/illegal purposes.
- Use the Services in connection with photos containing illegal content, including but not limited to content that violates privacy laws or depicts illegal activity.
6. Third-party services
The Services integrate with or link to third parties (for example Supabase, Cloudflare, Expo push, Google services, Open-Meteo, Apple/TestFlight). Those third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party systems or content beyond our control.
7. Privacy
Your use of the Services is subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how data is collected and processed.
8. Intellectual property
Except for your content, the Services (including software, branding, visuals, and text) are owned by or licensed to Remembr and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works except as allowed by law or with our written permission.
9. Availability and changes
- We may add, remove, modify, or discontinue features at any time.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, specific uptime, or error-free operation.
- We may apply usage limits, technical safeguards, or anti-abuse controls.
10. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted by law. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Remembr and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and service providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business interruption arising out of or related to the Services.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Remembr and its affiliates from claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms or law.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, present security risk, or where required by law.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Remembr is established, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Before initiating formal legal action, you agree to first contact us to seek an informal resolution.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms are effective when posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Services after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
